Junior 2D GIS Developer

I. JOB DESCRIPTION

• Participate in the development, deployment, and maintenance of 2D GIS applications using libraries such as Leaflet, OpenLayers, etc;
• Build map display and interaction features such as zoom, pan, markers, and layers;
• Design and develop interactive map components that meet project requirements;
• Integrate and develop features like location search, geolocation, geometry drawing, distance measurement, and other GIS tools on the mapping platform;

II. QUALIFICATIONS

A. Technical Skills

• Foundational knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and basic experience with libraries like Leaflet, OpenLayers, etc., for developing web maps;
• Strong foundation in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and an understanding of how they integrate with ReactJS, VueJS, and Angular to create dynamic web interfaces;
• Experience working with GIS APIs and an understanding of spatial data processing and management;
• Basic understanding of spatial databases such as PostGIS or other spatial data storage and processing services;
• Proficient in using Git and platforms like GitHub or GitLab;
• Understanding of UI/UX design principles to ensure optimal user experience;

B. Nice to have

• Logical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills;
• Ability to work proactively, both independently and as part of a team, with a strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies; excellent communication with stakeholders to understand requirements and propose solutions;
• Experience working with Agile methodologies and proficiency in project management tools like Jira/Redmine; holding language certificates and fluent in English communication;
• Educational Background: University degree in Information Technology or related fields;
